Dental Implants

Dental implants have a high success rate and are the closest thing to your natural teeth in regards to both function and appearance. In addition, since the base of the implant is surgically attached to the jaw, there is little risk of bone loss, like is common with removable dentures, because implants help to preserve the bone.
INCREASED COMFORT WITH SEDATION DENTISTRY OPTIONS
Although most patients find dental implant procedures to be comfortable, we can perform the procedure under IV sedation with the assistance of an anesthesiologist, or turn to other forms of sedation dentistry for increased patient comfort. IMPLANT SUPPORTED DENTURES
Some former denture wearers make the switch to implant supported dentures for more stability. If you are tired of dealing with dentures that shift or slip while you talk and eat, or simply find dentures to be uncomfortable, implant supported dentures may be perfect for you. Dr. Lewis can attach dentures to a set of dental implants to prevent the dentures from slipping. These serve as permanent teeth and look and feel very natural.

Implant Restoration
At J. Dennis Lewis DDS, we provide implant restoration services when they’re necessary. Our staff knows the signs of implant problems, and we are committed to checking them each time we see you. During visits after having implants put in, we assess your gums, bone density and any part that’s connected to the implant. These checks are in an effort to keep you healthy and catch any problems with the implants.
When you receive implants, we will guide you on how best to take care of them. This will help you minimize problems and be aware if any present themselves. If you think there is an issue with your current implants, please let us know so we can check them.

CEREC is wonderful because in only one visit you can get a smile you will be proud of! The process uses the latest technologies, allowing us to make artificial teeth right in our office.

Inlays and Onlays
Dental inlays and onlays are considered a conservative method of treating damaged teeth. They are used instead of placing a crown. Some dentists even use inlays and onlays to treat tooth decay. Instead of filling in the tooth, your dentist may use dental inlays and onlays.
Dental inlays and onlays are made in a dental lab and then fitted to your tooth. They are then bonded to your tooth.
